1980's - SPEEDWAY TRACK FOR NIMMITABEL
An attempt was made to construct a track after the club had received some Government Grants, A select few turned up for working bees but the general club membership didn't, and eventually the volunteer helpers drifted away.
The track was cut out but was never raced on, a toilet block and an entry gate was erected.
The track circled a lake, the club was forbidden to cross or fill the lake so the track was cut out with a Bulldozer around the waters edge in the Late 1980's.
The Nimmitabel Speedway Club continued to race at other venues well into 2006 before disbanding completely.
