1938 - SYDNEY SHOWGROUND SPEEDWAY. Australian 3 lap Solo Championship. 15th January 1938Bluey Wilkinson is our Australian ChampionIt was a fantastic night of racing here at the Royal tonight with the running of the Australian Solo Motorcycycle Championship over 3 laps or 1 mile in distance.
In all sixteen heats were run, all action packed, the overhaul winner being decided by highest points over the night. Once the points were tallied it was the New South Wales rider, Bluey Wilkinson who had earned top points, followed by the American rider in Ken Milne and 3rd was the Englishman of Joe Abbott.
The program was supported by Sidecars.
