2019 - THE EXAMINER NEWSPAPER REPORTED* Nathan Russell takes out * Tasmanian Street Stock winCarrick Speedway proved to be a dream first Street Stock state title for Nathan Russell.
The Hobart driver won the event on Sturday night after having started the 30 lap final from very deep in the 20 car field.
Corey Bauld had started on pole and would lead the first few laps until Luke Williams found plenty of grip up high on the track and passed him on lap five.

Troy Russell was running third and was in a fierce battle with Dale Riley Junior, As Steve Harvey worked hard to challenge the rival pair.
Several cautions occoured early, keeping the leaders bunched up whereby Riley Jr suffered a left rear puncture and his race ended just sereral laps later.
Amid all the commotion, Nathan Russell kept powering his way forward and moved up to fourth by the halfway mark of the race.
Entering the last 10 laps, Russell started his run home, He first passed Harvey and then two laps later Bauld.
Five laps out from home, Russell hit the front and was never going to relinquish the lead to the finish line, Williams came home second from Harvey in third.
