1948 - PINE BOWL SPEEDWAYPine Bowl Speedway opened in 1948 shortly after World War two as a banked 1/3 mile dirt oval track, The venue was very raw and used many of the cut down trees to build the venues public seating.
The tracks corners were paved for the second years racing, while a fully paved oval greeted the competitors for the third year.
The program consisted of Jalopies and Midgets initially, and then Sportsmans prior to closing.
During the 1950's the ownership of the track would change on a regular basis, this would bring new promoters with different ideas, some of these promoters were quite successful and the crowd numbers swelled.
During the 1960's the venue had outgrown itself, The track closed in 1966 and the racing moved to Lebanon Valley Speedway.
