1998 - ROXBY DOWNS SPEEDWAY
Prior to Speedway opening in Roxby Downs, 2 sidecar riders in Chris Frazer and Neil Burston put on a demonstration run at the local car clubs short circuit dirt track, as the track was a true short circuit with reverse corners it was not totally suitable for solos and sidecars.
When it was decided to press on and build a purpose built speedway the infeild of the Kart track was chosen in prefrence to the exsisting short circuit or the horse racing track.
