1993 - MOUNT PANORAMA TOOHEYS 1000 3rd October 1993Perkins and Hansford win the Great RaceThe 1993 Tooheys 1000 was the 34th running of the great race, Larry Perkins and co driver Greg Hansford won the event in a VP Holden Commodore, There Commodore was the only Holden to have a Holden V8 engine in the car, The rest of the Commodores were all running the Chevrolet 5.0 litre engines.
2nd place went to Mark Skaife and Jim Richards in the Winfield VP Commodore.
3rd was Wayne Gardiner and Brad Jones in the Holden Racing Team VP Commodore.
4th went to David Brabham and Anders Olofsson in a VT Commodore.
5th was Troy Dunston and Steve Harrington also in a VP Commodore.
6th went to Geoff Brabham and David Parsons in the first of the EB Falcons.
7th was Bob Jones and speedway champion Creg Crick in a VP Commodore.
8th went to Paul Radisich and Cameron McConville in an EB Falcon.
9th was Terry Finnigan and Gary Rogers in a VP Commodore.
Rounding out the top ten was Bob Pearson, Bruce Stewart and Phil Ward in a VP Commodore.
Peter Brock would finish the race in 17th place in the Mobil Commodore, While Dick Johnson and Glen Seaton both in Falcons would record DNF's.

19th - Peter Brock and John Cleland had to be happy with a position 17 at the end of the race. |
