2005 - possible LOCATION FOR PORT HEDLAND MOTOCROSS TRACK Number 1
James Hogermeer recall's: Its been over forty years and i was just twelve years old in 1977, but what i do remember is that you followed the train tracks when passed the three mile aboriginal camp, then just after the speedway there was a creek crossing with the Motocross entrance on the other side of the creek.

Mark Arrowsmith recalls: The first Motocross track was out near the Speedway, from there another track was built between Port Hedland and South Hedland in the old quarry when Redbank Bridge was built, from there another track was built at its current site on Buttweld Road.
