1967 - SOUTHERN NEW MEXICO SPEEDWAY
Southern New Mexico Speedway opened in 1967 as a 3/10 mile dirt oval speedway, The track was built at the rear of the Dona Ana County Fairgrounds by a group of racers.
The program was varied with Stock Cars, Modifieds, Sprintcars and Late Models featuring, also a lot of support divisions appearing.
The track has run under many owners and also Track names over its life, such as Las Crues Speedway, Chapparel Raceway, Seratoma Raceway and Mesillia Valley Raceway, The track closed in 2018 after the new Vado Motor Sport Complex opened.
