Sid Whittaker recalls: Dad (Herbie) bought this ex production sedan as virtually a barred out shell, we straightened it all up, painted it, and had it sign written, and when dad was modifying things inside noticed it was a galvanized roll cage that had been fitted to the car.
With finding this illegal cage the car was stripped and taken to the tip, never to be raced.
