1909 - PROSPECT HILL GRASS HILL CLIMB
Prospect is about 32km west of Sydney city. At the time of the hill climbs it was very rural. The main site was about 150 metres past the Prospect Hotel on the Great Western Highway on Mr Hicks property.

The first hill climb recordered was in 1909 on the 21st of August, when the Western Suburbs Motor Club hosted a hill climb on the Highway itself with a large field of cars.
