1906 - ROCKINGHAM PARK
Acclaimed by some as the finest racecourse in the world at the time, This 1 mile venue was host to a thoroughbred meeting with over 10,000 people attending on the 28th of June 1906.
The only problem was that betting was illegal in the state of New Hampshire and betting was shut down immediately, underground wagering however did continue, After this meeting the track lay idle for five years.

1925 - ROCKINGHAM MOTOR SPEEDWAY
The first motor sport racing event at the 1 mile venue was held on the 4th of July 1925, This event saw the cars race on the original horse racing dirt surface.
As time passed a 1.25 mile high banked wooden board track was built over the top of the dirt surface, This board track would remain in service up until 1929 when it was demolished.

1932 - ROCKINGHAM MOTOR SPEEDWAY
After demolision the board track was replaced by a one mile dirt oval on the same site, Only three race meetings were ever held at the replacement dirt track, the first on the 7th of September 1931 and another on the 12th of October 1931 as well as a final meeting on the 26th of June 1932.
These dirt track meetings were hampered by poor track conditions, dust, all of which caused accidents and delay's, This would be the end of motor racing at Rockingham.
In 1932 the track returned to just horse racing.
