1956 - CLEVELAND COUNTY SPEEDWAY
Cleveland County Fairgrounds Speedway was a 1/2mile dirt oval track. During the venue's life it was also known as Shelby Motor Speedway.

1956 - NASCAR CUP SERIES
The first Nascar Cup Series race at Cleveland County Fairground Speedway was in 1956 and the last was in 1965, other forms of racing continued on to 1976.

2012 - CLEVELAND COUNTY SPEEDWAY VINTAGE RE-UNION
The Fairgrounds did reopen again for a two year period to run Vintage Stock Car racing, before closing again.
