1950's - GREER DRAGWAY
Greer Dragway is a 1/8 mile IHRA sanctioned drag strip that opened in the 1950's. The track was built by the Greer Jaycees and many more additional volunteer's.
The Original mission was to create an avenue of raising money for needy children in the area.

1970's - GREER DRAGWAY
In the early 1970's the Jaycees were disbanded and the land was onsold. The land was later leased and then bought by Tom and Sue Ferrell.
Roland McAbee became the manager of the dragway in 1979. Roland would later pass away on the 25th of October 1988. Mike Greer then became the manager. He went on to manage the track for over twenty years.

2009 - GREER DRAGWAY
After the season closed in 2009 a major upgrade did get carried out at the track with a new strip surface, concrete walls and new timing equipment.

2010 - GREER DRAGWAY
In 2010 Mike Greer became the new owner and in 2022 still owns the venue.
