1960 - AUSTIN SPEED O RAMA.
Austin Speed O Rama opened in 1960 as a paved short circuit semi banked speedway, A farther and son team of AB and louis Wusterhausen opened the venue, owning and operating it for eight years, AB Westerhausen died during the sale of the speedway to a group headed by Dragracer Jim Tibbitts in 1968.

1971 - CAPITOL SPEEDWAY.
With the change of ownership came a name change, the track was renamed Capitol Speedway.

1974 - AUSTIN SPEED O RAMA.
Two business men in Jerry Green and Charles Hester took over the venue three years after Jim Tibbitt's group did in 1971, The name of the speedway was returned to its original name.

LONGHORN SPEEDWAY.
During the tracks life it went through another name change to Longhorne Speedway, the name it would trade under until it closed.
