1946 - BRIGHTON SPEEDWAY
Brighton Speedway opened straight after the end of World War 2 and the lifting of the world wide ban on motor racing.
This 1/2 mile dirt oval speedway placed Midgets at the top of there program, but often ran Hot Rod events.
All racing at the venue was santioned by the Colorado Automobile Racing Club.
The race meetings were very successful with the spectators and competitors, but even so the tracks life was short closing in 1952.
