1951 - AUGUSTINE BEACH SPEEDWAY.

Located near the banks of the Delaware River, this 1/3 mile track was opened up in 1951. This was just one of the tracks that popped up in Delaware at the time.

Stock Cars ran here and it was raced on by mostly local drivers. The track would also get drivers from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland at times. 

Like most of the other tracks that opened up in the area, this one didnt last long either. By the end of 1956 the track had closed down.
