1950's - MOOREBANK SCRAMBLE TRACK.
Moorebank Scramble track operated during the 1950's and the 1960's, The 1956 Australian Scramble Championship was held at the track, The event was televised by Channel 9 being its first outside broadcast.
Riders like Kel Curruthers and Charlie Scaysbrook rode at Moorebank.

1961 - Ray Dole has won this years 125cc Australian Championship on his Victa powered BSA Bantam here at the Moorebank Scramble. Photographer: unknown.
1964 - MOREBANK SCRAMBLE.
In 1964 history was made when Ray Dole won his third NSW 125 title on a Victa lawnmower powered bike, Entertainer Bobby Limb was the starter this day and presented the prizes.

Barry Patterson recalls: my first race at 14yo on a worn out BSA Bantam fitted with Girling shocks from a 650 Triumph, that were so stiff, the bike was rigid, the front forks were BSA C15, so worn that no oil was used, zero dampening, i fitted long springs from the legs of the headlight brackets in an attempt to stop the clang when they topped out, i fitted a 21 inch James Waratah front wheel and a Avon Knobbly tire bought from Charlie Scaysbrook in Sylvania, and a 400 rear Dunlop from Max Evans in Caringbah, it didn't have enough power to get me through the sand by the Georges River, so i hopped off and ran beside it, every lap, much to the amazement of Arthur Blizard, the President of the club, who told my dad i wouldnt get around. I won a trophy for "Best Performance for a new Rider", as if i needed any encouragement.
This was my very first lap, about to drop off "Sorbent", taken by a lovely bloke named Mr Richardson, who deliberately went to the spot to capture me and my expression, he did a great job.
