1995 - CALIFORNIA SPEEDWAY.
The construction of California Speedway began back on the 22nd of November 1995. The build of the venue on the old Steel Works site was completed in 1997, with the Grand Opening on the 20th of June that year, 1997.
The racetrack layout was a 2 mile, low banked, asphalt, sealed, D shaped oval.

2008 - AUTO CLUB SPEEDWAY
On the 21st of February 2008 the Automobile Club of Southern Caifornia purchased the naming rights in a ten year deal, thus the venue became known as Auto Club Speedway and has remained as of 2023, as the deal was renewed. The sponsorship discontinued after March of 2023. The venue did close on the 27th of February 2023, to go through a massive rebuild.
