1949 - COTTESLOE SPEEDWAY. 30th September 1949.It is known from newspaper reports of the day that Midget Speedcar racing was held on a concrete circuit along the Esplanade and at the foot of Napier Street, This circuit may have been originally laid down for bicycle racing.
