2023 - PERTH MOTORPLEX WEST AUSTRALIAN LATE MODEL SEDAN CHAMPIONSHIP 11th March 2023T h a t s 10 F o r B l a k e yTen West Australian State title win's for Brad Blake in Late Model Sedans, will it ever be topped, possibly not, concidering the group of young talent within the division, Kye Blight, Brent Vosbergen and Joe Chalmers just to mention a few.
Brad is the first to admit that a huge part of his success, he shares with his dad Allan, former Australian Sedan Car Champion and the teams crew chief.
This tenth win for Brad can only be described as an exercise in sheer determination with a never say die attitude.
After two nights of qualifying Brad would find himself 14th on the grid for the title feature. Night one and he would record a DNF after a diff failure, then on night two in his one and only heat the car would break

a tailshaft recording another DNF. Feature time and the front row would consist of Kye Blight on pole and Matt Goodlad on his outside, row two and position three would be the Australian champ Brent Vosbergen with a fired up Warren Oldfield on his outside.
As the green flag dropped and the field entered turn one on came the yellows, there were cars parked up across the track, sadley Matt Nylander was out of the race. The restart would see Kye Blight lead the field away with Matt Goodlad applying pressure to him, Brent Vosbergen in third was getting monstered by Warren Oldfield who would soon pass, this would however be reversed on lap four. As the race continued Rod Musara would move from position ten to sixth and Brad Blake was now in the top ten from the rear. Around mid race Vosbergen and Oldfield would get together causing a restart, Oldfield would be sent rear and Vosbergen restart in position three. Another few laps later Warren Oldfield and Rod Musara would head infield. Michael Holmes had made his way into 4th while Blake was in fifth. With the back end of the race approaching Blake charged through to second, Goodlad had passed Vosbergen again, while Veronica McCann was now in the top five. Holmes was out followed by Goodlad who brought on the yellow's.
The restart would see a green white checquer, once again Blight would lead the field away, but as the white flag came out Blight would blow a right rear tyre and move to the top of the track allowing the rest of the field to finish the race, this left Blake to take the lead and win the thirty lap feature, with Brent Vosbergen 2nd, Veronica McCann 3rd, David Nylander 4th, Matt Amato 5th, David Boyes 6th, Kye Blight managed to hang on for 7th, Jay Cardy 8th, Damian Hudson 9th, Warren Minshull 10th.
