Late Model Sedan Match Race Series & GP Midgets. 9th August 1970.LIVERPOOL LIONS defeat FRED WLLIAMS MARINES.The Solos featured tonight at the Liverpool Speedway with a special match race event staged between the Liverpool Lions and the Fred Williams Marines. It ended with a 42 to 36 win for the Lions with Top points honors going to Bob Sharpe (Lions) and Barry Van Praag (Marines) both on 12 points.
Peter Graham wins Match Race SeriesA special David verses Goliath Late Model Sedan match race series between Peter Graham (Mini) Peter Crick (GTS Monaro) and Rick Hunter (GT Falcon was also held with Graham taking the overhall victory across the three races and Rick Hunter winning the Feature race.

1970 - LIVERPOOL SPEEDWAY. NEW SOUTH WALES LATE MODEL SEDAN CHAMPIONSHIP. 16th August 1970.Crick is ChampionPeter Crick has won the 1970 New South Wales Late Model Sedan Car Championship in front of a packed house, driving his Pat Cullen/Diablo Motors Holden Monaro.
Crick took the win from Peter Michel in a EH Holden and in third was Scott Dillon also in a very quick EH Holden.

During 1970 Liverpool Speedway ran a low budget division during there program known as Mini Stock Car, Here is a sample of there nightly racing provided by Tony Seville and Eric Stewart, driver's of the number [20] Standard 10 machine, with Eric in the number [14] car.

Tony Seville recalls: This was my very first speedway car, i had just finished building it. I raced it at Liverpool Speedway in the Standard 10 Mini Stock Car Class.

Supermodified's & Late Model Sedan's. 31st December 1970.Ole Olson win's Round 9 of Solo ChallengeMany champion's stood up tonight at the Liverpool Speedway, but it was Ole Olson who stood the tallest. Tonight's program saw the running of the 9th round of the UTA French Airlines Champion of Champion's Award, and it would be our oversea's visitor Ole Olson winning tonights feature event in front of Jim Airey and John Langfield.
The balance of the program was keenly contested all night with the honours in the Grand Prix Midgets going to Dennis Johnson, while the Supermodified's went to Sid Hopping and the Late Model Sedan winner was Peter Crick.
