1990 - RICH VOGLER Sprintcar'sOn the 21st of July 1990 Rich Vogler, or 'Rapid Rich" as was also reffered to, who was aged 39, died in a turn four crash from severe head injuries, after his helmet came off in the crash, Vogler who was leading the event at the time was approaching the white flag, signalling one lap to go, when he crashed bringing out the red flag, The race was not re-started as per the rule book and Vogler was posthumously awarded the win.
