1926 - SESQUICENTENNIAL INTERNATIONAL EXPOSITION STADIUM
The planning for this stadium started around 1920. This would be built for the up comming Sesquicentennial International Exposition.The construction was started and it opened on the 15th of April 1926.

1926 - PHILADELPHIA MUNICIPAL STADIUM
Soon after the completion of the Sesquicentennial Internatational Exposition the name of the stadium was changed to the Philadelphia Municipal Stadium. The name stayed in place until 1964 when the name was changed again, In honour of John F Kennedy shortly after his death.

1936 - PHILADELPHIA MUNICIPAL STADIUM SPEEDWAY
In 1936 the GMRA sanctioned the venue to hold about six Midget race meetings that season within the stadium.

1952 - PHILADELPHIA MUNICIPAL STADIUM SPEEDWAY
In 1952 things got a bit more serious after a paved oval track was laid within the arena. Sportsmans and Modifieds featured on the program each meeting up until 1958 when once again the speedway closed.

1964 - JFK STADIUM SPEEDWAY
By 1964 the name of the venue had been changed to JFK Stadium and Motor Racing had been welcomed back. It has been widely reported that this period was the most successful in the speedways life, crowds flocked in to see Midgets sanctioned by USAC and the ARDC.
The Tq Midget car were also popular, they were sanctioned by the American Tq Midget Racing Association. Once again a decission to stop racing, that being in 1973.

Some minor events including enduro's were held but it was not regular and for that season only.
