1921 - LEICHHARDT PARK
On the 29th of October 1921 the Leichhardt council held its jubilee carnival, this carnival would be many events held over a two week period.
A procession along Parramatta Road from Johnston to Norton street then onto Leichhardt Park (oval) where a carnival of sporting activities took place.
Motorcycle racing was one of those events held at the oval.

CONFLICTING REPORT1920's - J DONAGHEY. Solo'sThe newspaper report that covered the death of Leichhardt local, motorcycle racer is a touch conflicting.
The report states in the sub heading that the accident was at Leichhardt Speedway but also names the Sydney Royal at the Agricultural grounds.
