High Springs Speedway opened in 1962 as a dirt track speedway. Not much is known about the track. What we do know is it closed in 1967.
Track Record Set At H.S. Speedway
A track record of 30 seconds was set by Charles Hodge at the 3/10 mile track of High Springs Speedway in races held before 595 spectator's on Sunday.
Norman Douglas won the feature race. In second place was Bert Terry, Gene Culbreth was third and George Booth finished fourth. Heat winners were Tommy Hurst, Ray Parrish and Gene Culbreth. Delores Barber again won the powder puff race.
