1949 - TAHUNA STADIUM SPEEDWAY.
This 1/4 mile dirt oval speedway opened on the 12th of December 1949. Motorcycle racing filled the program an initially was very popular, but for whatever reasons the crowds fell away and the speedway closed down around 1957.
