1949 - CAPITAL CITY SPEEDWAYCapital City Speedway opened in 1949 as a 1/2 mile dirt oval speedway, but not long after opening was reduced to a 1/4 mile.
Initially the program consisted of Motorcycle Flat Track racing and midget cars, but they were soon overtaken by stocks who's popularity was on the increase.

1960's - LANSING SPEEDWAYIn the 1960's the Supermodified's were introduced to Capital City Speedway but it appears that during this period the name of the venue was changed to Lansing Speedway, sadly the speedway closed after the 1964 racing season.
