Lakeview Speedway was a 3/4 mile short track speedway that was built around the outside of Cochran Lake, The track opened in 1947 and closed in 1953. The track is best remembered for many drivers ending up in the lake.

1951 - NASCAR AT LAKEVIEW
Lakeview Speedway hosted 2 NASCAR Grand National races in 1951, The first was held on the 8th of April 1951, the event was won by Tim Flock, The second was on the 25th of November, Frank Mundy won that event.
