1967 - LIVERPOOL SPEEDWAY OPENING MEETING 14th May 1967Liverpool Raceway opened on the 14th of May 1967,the clay and dolomite track was a D shape, The spectators were treated to a big programme on opening night with fields of Tq's, Speedcars, Super Modified's Stock and Production sedans.
Liverpool was promoted and managed by Channel Seven's Mike Raymond and former Lord Mayor Frank Oliveri. The Speedway would close in 1989.
