1917 - EXPOSITION PARK
Exposition Speedway opened in the early 1900's as a Airfield for light planes and also a horse racing track, It has been reported that baseball games were also held at the venue.
In 1917 this site would host Alaska's first ever Automobile races, these events were held on a 1/3 mile dirt oval track, This led to further event being held on a yearly basis.

In 1923 the entire venue was demolished to make way for Alaska's first Airport, Weeks Field Airport.
