1953 - THE AGE NEWSPAPER REPORTED
THE NEW SPEEDWAY at Baxter will be opened tomorrow and profits will assist spastic children. Len Golding, South Australia (right) in his special, Jack O'Day. Victoria (left) in his Studebaker special, and (centre) Alf Baker in his Vauxhall special, tried out the track yesterday.

1968 - BAXTER PARK SPEEDWAY LOCATION
National Speed Sport reported in December of 1968 that the half miler is still there some 30 miles from Melbourne but idle and overgrown.
