1952 - BOWLING GREEN SPEEDWAYBowling Green Speedway was built by local farmer and Stock Car racer Clyde Bolen. He started construction in 1952 after returning very disgruntled from Lincoln Speedway were he was not allowed to race.
**************************************************************1953 - BOWLING GREEN SPEEDWAYBowling Green opened on the 27th of September 1953 to a huge crowd. The track was a 1/2 mile dirt oval speedway with long straights that enabled the cars to reach high speedwas. Stock Cars were the feature attraction on the program.
Initially the race meetings were very successful, sometimes attracting in around 8,000 spectators. But with many tracks as time passed, all the problems associated with Cash Flow, mainly the lack of forced the owner to close down the track in 1956.
