Sprintcar driver, forty one year old, Jason Johnson winner of the 2016 Knoxville Sprintcar Nationals, and 5 times ASCS Champion has died following an accident at Beaver Dam Raceway in Wisconsin, The crash happened while Johnson was competing in a World of Outlaws race on Saturday night, He was rushed to the Aurora Medical Centre but passed away on Sunday morning.
The accident occoured on lap eighteen of the feature, Johnson's car flipped and made contact with the advertising billboards on turn three.
Jason Johnson was a hell of a racer and a fantastic family man, he leaves behind his wife Bobbi and five year old son Jaxx.
