1972 - KERRIBEE PARK RACEWAY
Kerribee Park Raceway was established in 1972 by the Mareeba Motor Racing Club and the Mareeba Motorcycle Club. Speedway racing events has been previously been held at the Tolga Racecourse but the area was prone to flooding and making the track too dangerous to compete on.
The Kerribee Park Raceway was to be a specific build to suit bike's and cars on land that was being sub leased of the local Rodeo Club. The speedway that had been built by volunteers opened in 1972.

Craig Marstern recalls - Mareeba North Queensland west of Cairns, We didn't have much money in the early 1970's, Dad donated ten thousand yards of deco to top dress the track, Walsh River Quarries carted it for the cost of fuel only, The grader was a 12E Cat that was donated, The water truck was a Bedford or Inter, but we still made a track.

1976 - MAREEBA JUNIOR MOTORCYCLE CLUB
The Mareeba Junior Motorcycle Club was formed in 1976, it would be later in 1979 that the club would be officially reformed under the name of the Mareeba Motorcycle Club.
