1941 - ALLINSON-DAVIS FARM.
The land the Selinsgrove Speedway was built on was once a one hundred and fifteen acre farm known as the Allinson Davis farm. In 1941 the Dauntless Hook and Ladder Fire Company of Selinsgrove bought the farm as its home for an annual carnival and night fair that was to start 1942. By 1942 the property was under the management of Selinsgrove Fair (inc).

1945 - SELINSGROVE SPEEDWAY.
Selinsgrove Speedway was designed and laid out by the well known Hollywood stunt man and race car driver Joie Chitwood. Construction began in 1945 and was completed in time for the first race meeting held on the 20th of July 1946.

1946 - SELINSGROVE SPEEDWAY.
Selinsgrove Speedway opened to the public on the 20th of July 1946 on a Saturday afternoon, The American Automobile Association sanctioned the event and it was promoted by Sam Nunis Speedways.
