1959 - FREMONT DRAG STRIP
The Fremont Dragstrip was built on land owned by the Southern Pacific Railroad, previous to this the land was owned by the United States Navy, who built an airfield on the site just prior to World War two.
The Strip was built and opened in 1959, The venue boomed during the 1960's and 1970's until it closed in 1988, The venue was also known as Baylands Raceway Park during the final years of operation.
