1915 - COLORADO STATE FAIRGROUNDS
Colorado State Fairgrounds opened in 1915 as a 1/2 mile horse racing track, as most other horse tracks motorcycle racing featured at the Fairgrounds in its first year of operation.
By 1916 car racing events were added to the program, Motor racing only had a short life at the fairgrounds, finishing in 1928.

1932 - COLORADO STATE FAIRGROUNDS
In 1932 a 1/4 mile dirt oval track was added to the fairgrounds and as a result, Midget racing was introduced and became very popular, The track did close in 1941 because of World War 2, but did re-open again in 1946 after the war.
The racing was a big success but unfortunatly the Fair Board decided to finish its envolvement in Motor Racing in 1965.
