1965 - IRWINDALE RACEWAY.
Irwindale Raceway was the direct result of the closing of the San Gabriel Drag Strip which was located about a mile and a half South West of Irwindale Raceway.
The Drag Strip opened in 1965 and went on to be very successfull, up until 1977 when it closed.
