1991 - TEAM FRM HITS OUT
The Team FRM Sigma's had already stamped there authority on modified racing in WA with Greg Freeman taking out the Presidents Cup at Bunbury Speedway and dominating racing where ever the team appeared, Phil Rose However was a born again rookie that had been out of racing for about eighteen years, There were already Sigma's and Scorpion's running but these two new cars running a lot of Torana driveline components with the exception of the gearbox made an immediate impression on the division.
It wasn't until this meeting that a weakness showed up in the Mitsubishi gearbox were the internal gears simply could not with-stand the power put out by the new FRM Methanol engines, Greg Freeman's car would tear a gear train up on the first nights racing, and have to be replaced the following day.
Greg would recover and lead the feature for most of the race, 23 of the 25 laps, Rose would inherit the lead after Freeman retired with a flat tyre while in that leading position, Phil went on to take out the Title in front of George Beres from Albany and Peter Uphill from Perth.

The local rookie pair of Ken Squires and Brendon Condren finished with two 3rd places in the heats.
Solo's made there first appearance at Attwell Park Speedway for many years with riders such as Craig Whiting, Bradley Kennington, Brad Muller, Keith McKinley and Grant Stevens, along with fields of A and B division Street Sedans and A and B division Modified Sedans.
