1906 - WICHITA FAIRGROUNDS RACETRACKThe Wichita Fairgrounds race track has been reported as operating as far back as 1905.
The Fairgrounds track was the start of car racing in Wichita. Prior to this it is beleived that only match racing between two cars were ever held.
The race track sat on a fifteen acre portion of land that was part of the Wichita Fairgrounds. The race track was bounded by the now named first street on the south, Osage Street on the West and the Arkansas River on the North and East.

1908 - Spectators flocked to the car racing at the Fairgrounds to take advantage of the grand stand.

1911 - WICHITA FAIRGROUNDS RACE TRACK
Motor Racing had come to an end by 1911 when the Midland Valley Railway Company brought most of the land that the Fairgrounds sat on, Turning it into a Railway Terminal and shunting yards.

There was a Motor Racing event held in Wichita on the 11th of Novvember 1912 at an unknown location, To date there is no more information on the event.
