1939 - OZARK SPEEDWAY
Ozark Speedway opened in 1939 as a primitave 1/4 mile dirt oval track for car racing. As all other tracks world wide the venue was forced to close over the period of the Second World War.

1946 - OZARK SPEEDWAY
With the end of World War 2, the track reopened in 1946 and picked up were they left off with car racing.

1950's - OZARK SPEEDWAY
During the 1950's and 1960's Ozark got involved and fostered the Stock Car racing craze that was sweeping America. Modified were also added to the program. One of there major races was the annual North West Missouri Championship.

1973 - JOPLIN SPEEDWAY
After a slump in the track popularity in the early 1970's. The venue was onsold to new owners who changed the name to Joplin Speedway. This wasn't enough to save the tracks life. The track closed for the final time in 1977.
