1977 - BIG H MOTOR SPEEDWAY.
The Big H Motor Speedway opened in 1977 as a 3/8 mile banked dirt oval speedway running Sprintcars, Late Models and Stocks, The track was very popular with racers and spectators and would often run big events such as World of Outlaw sprintcars.

In 1992 new owners took over the venue and by 1995 the track susface was sealed over with asphalt and racing continued in a different format. The venue is currently open and operating under the name of Houston Motorsports Park.
