Michael Hickey recalls: Leo Geoghegan won the big trophy (The Veedol Cup) in his Repco crossflow grey motor powered FJ Holden at Bathurst in this car in 1958, He donated the trophy to the Southern Sporting Club for there annual encouragement award known as the Leo Geoghegan Trophy, I won it in 1981 and got to keep it for a year.
