1930's - GABBA GROUNDS SPEEDWAY SOCCER
We all know of the Gabba Grounds and the many great Cricket Test Matches that have taken place at the famed arena, Strangely enough it was that same grassed oval that introduced "Motor-Cycle Soccer" to Australia in the late 1930's, Although short lived, presumed by its dangerous possibilities, it proved to be popular with spectators, Whilst the competitors motored towards the ball, it was the referies, who, on foot, found themselves in near miss situations.
