1973 - KARRATHA GO KART CLUB.
The Karratha Go Kart Club was formed in 1973 after a group of eleven people got together and held a pulic meeting at the Walkabout Hotel, some of those early pioneers were, Colin Hadden, Eric Coomber, Warren Stewart, Frank Pelusey, Owen Teague, Allan Albion, Geoff Williams and Les Dixon.
As a result of that meeting a committee was formed with Collin Haddon as Chairman and Owan Teague as treasurer.
The club then set about finding a site to build there race track, A total of five potential sites were presented to to Roeburn Shire, with all being rejected, However the Shire did offer the current site to the east of town, This offer was accepted and the club set about raising the money to build the track.

1974 - KARRATHA SPRINT KART CIRCUIT.
Built by the Karratha Go Kart Club the new asphalt sealed track opened in 1974.

2000 - KARRATHA SPRINT KART CIRCUIT.
The circuit received a major re-surface in the year 2000 enabling drivers to lower there lap times by about two to three seconds a lap.

2008 - KARRATHA SPRINT KART CIRCUIT.
In 2008 the circuit went through a further upgrade by way of extending the front straight and creating a new sweeping bend on the western end of the straight.
