1956 - ROLL-O-BOWL SPEEDWAY
Lost Dirt Tracks facebook feature
Created by two brothers on their grand mothers farm, the track opened on the 30th of May 1956, the weirdly shaped track was a 1/4 mile in distance, The back straight was higher than the front straight requiring drivers to race up and down hill causing a lot of carnage.
The owners would give a five dollar payout to every driver who rolled their car and despite the high risk track, there were very little injuries.
Unfortunately the track was short lived, with car and fans numbers falling away, the track closed on the 31st of July 1960.
