HINDLE DOWNS AGOBryan Hindle a devoted Salvation Army officer of Sydney became one of the very few riders in the world to have beaten multi-pull times world champion, Giacomo Agostini on level terms, when he led him home by around 60 yards, in a 12 lap 350cc race at Oran Park, before 12,000 spectators.
Starting side by side both riders threw everything into it around the tight twisty 1.2 mile circuit.
