LIVINGSTONE AIRFIELD DRAG STRIP
The club shifted its operations to the disused World War 2 Livingston Airfield thirty four miles south of Darwin, This airstrip was also built by the 808th Engineer Aviation Battalion between the 16th of March 1942 and the 13th of April 1942.
It has been reported by the club, now known as the Hidden Valley Drag Racing Association that even with the isolation and the extreme conditions at the new strip, Competitors numbers were often as high as sixty and the spectators around one thousand.
By 1983 the strip surface was failing and past its use by date, The new Hidden Valley drag strip was planned and was well under way by 1984 and opened in 1985.
