2020 - KELLERBERRIN SPEEDWAY KING OF KELLERBERRIN 12th September 2020Ben Ludlow called on his decades of experience to fend off a hard charging Brendan McKeagg in saturday's running of the 3rd annual King of Kellerberrin WA Pro Modified event.
Perfect conditions and a speedy track surface meant the big field would put on a fantastic display of racing with plenty of passing as the drivers used the entire width of the track.
Heat winners on the day were Terry Butcher, Brad Ludlow, Brendan McKeagg and Ben Ludlow.
In the feature race Ben took the lead from the outset and was chased down by Brendan McKeagg with Brad Ludlow getting passed pole sitter Brad Wright for third.
Half way through the race Brad Ludlow spun bringing out the cautions and setting up a thrilling finish.
After the re-start McKeagg started to put
|
the heat on the veteran while Bosveld and Birch battled for third with Brad Ludlow in fifth, But it was Ben Ludlow who took the win over McKeagg and Bosveld for third.

2020 - KELLERBERRIN SPEEDWAY V8 NON WING SPRINTS 12th September 2020The V8 Non Wing Sprints once again has the spectators on the edge of there seats at Kellerberrin Speedway on Saturday, Going into round 3 one point only seperated the top 3 in the Blackman Fabrication series.
Heat winners on the day were Bill Stock, Lee Redmond and Rick Morrison, What happened in the pits after heat 3 realy showed what this division is all about, Every driver stepped out of their car and went straight to Rick Morrison (still with their helmets on and Rick still in his car) to congradulate him on his first ever win, Everyone was genuinely appreciative of what Rick had achieved.
Feature time and Bill Stocks was 1st into turn one and never looked back, The track had lost its grip after a long days racing and throttle control was the secret, Lee Redmond place 2nd, Rick Morrison 3rd, Baileigh Beckingham 4th, Brendan Rayner 5th and T Beckingham in 6th place.
|
After the conclusion of round 3 things are not so tight with Australia 1 Bill Stocks leading on 585 points, Lee Redmond on 577 points, Troy Beckingham 556, Brendan Rayner 530, Rick Morrison 415, Bayleigh Beckingham 405 and Mathew Vincent 50.
2020 - KELLERBERRIN SPEEDWAY WEST COAST ALLSPRINTS 12th September 2020West Coast All Sprints are the latest concept in fostering Sprintcar racing for sprintcar driver that just want to go racing at a club level, something that has been lost in the past, many drivers with sprintcars dont have the budget to run on the State or National stage but still love the thrill that
|
the winged monsters give them. The concept was put in place by the Australian Speedway Drivers and Riders Association, after they were approached by many disgruntled owners and drivers.
The concept of running all classes of sprintcars together with a handicap system make for great racing with plenty of passing, The groups that can run in the Allsprints are the 320's, Limited Sprints, 360 Sprintcars and Opens, It is also possible for the V8 Non Wing cars to fit a wing and run with the Allsprints.
In a time when sprintcar numbers are falling away in the promoted world, could this be the answer to build up sprintcar numbers, The concept has been sanctioned by the West Australian Speedway Commission who oversee safety and training in West Australia and also the Australian governing body AASA who licience and insure the tracks that host these sprintars,
Such is the willingness of this concept to work, The current national body AASA at these tracks will accept all other liciences such as Speedway Australia.
