1934 - LANE COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS
The Lane County Fairgrounds was another horse racing venue that was invaded by The sport of motor racing. The original 1/2 mile dirt oval contained a freshly built 1/4 mile dirt oval track within its infield. Both tracks were used for speedway.
The very popular program would consist of Car and Midget racing, but closing in 1941 because of the World War two ban on motor racing.
In 1946 and after theban had been lifted, the track did reopen, only to close again after 1950.
